In this 4-day tour, you will have a chance to discover the majestic northernmost region of Vietnam with outstanding destinations of Ha Giang Province like Dong Van, Meo Vac and Ma Pi Leng Pass and one highlight of Bac Kan Province which is Ba Be Lake. Full Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (L,D)

This morning, we take a scenic drive from Hanoi to Ha Giang known for its magnificent landscapes and the unique cultural characters of ethnic minorities. During the drive, we stop for visit and take photos of some small villages along the road. On your arrival on Ha Giang, let’s spend a short time walking around and sightseeing Tay and Nung village, then stay in a nearby breathtaking valley. Sleep in Ha Giang tonight.

Day 2: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Lung Cu – Dong Van (B, L, D)

Move to a new site in Quan Ba District to visit Bo Y ethnic village. We have lunch in Yen Minh town and take a short rest within an hour before visiting the Former H’Mong King Palace in Sa Phin Village. Head to Flag Tower on the top of Lung Cu Mount between the border of Vietnam and China, which is higher about 1.470 km than the sea level. In the late afternoon, continue the trip to Dong Van District, then we go on sightseeing in the ancient town after taking a rest. Overnight in Dong Van Town.

Day 3: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)

Depart from the early morning, we today will visit other famous attractions of Ha Giang before shifting the journey to the Northeast – Bac Kan Province. If our trip falls on the weekend, we will have the opportunity to visit Dong Van Ethnic Market where we can buy a variety of goods and hand-made products like brocade or handicrafts made by ethnic people. After experiencing the eventful atmosphere in the local market, we drive along the Nho Que River and marvel at one of the most spectacular passes in Vietnam – Ma Pi Leng Pass. You will get amazed when seeing the whole breathtaking scenery from the top. 2 hours later, we move to Meo Vac to have a rest before the drive to Bac Kan. In Ba Be Lake, let’s enjoy the peace in your soul after a long day with the nice river view from Pac Ngoi Village. Tonight, we will have dinner, and beer time, and sleep in a beautiful homestay.

Day 4: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (B, L)

This morning, we will take a boat trip on Ba Be Lake – the largest natural lake in Vietnam with over 650 hectares of area and nearly 8 km of length. Along the river, we will next marvel at majestic Puong Cave in Ba Be National Park before visiting Dau Dang Waterfall. We take a walk around it while waiting for our lunch in a minority restaurant. Have a short rest in Pac Ngoi Village, then we prepare to go back to Hanoi which is far from here about 240 km. Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon when your holiday ends. Upon Ha Giang, a short wander after a long drive in the afternoon around Tay and Nung villages set in a picturesque valley near the town will completely grasp your attention. Day 2: Ha Giang – Trekking to Thon Tha Village (B, L, D)

After breakfast, head for trekking to Thon Tha Village which is just 6km from downtown Ha Giang city to see the true Vietnam and greet local ethnic people. It is a small village with more than 50 families. The people here are still remaining traditional life in that women weave traditional costumes, houses constructed on pillars. Likewise, people make their roofs with leaves of Palms to keep the house clean and cool inside. Next, enjoy a cozy lunch at a local house. Then spend your rest afternoon continue going sightseeing at Thon Tha village and admiring the beautiful rice field terraces as well as primary forests and having a chance to swim at a stream which is 2km from the village.

Day 3: Ha Giang – Dong Van via Quan Ba & Yen Minh – Lung Cu flagpole & the former H’Mong King’s Palace – Dong Van (B, L, D)

A day of memorable highlights with stops in Lung Cu flagpole – which is marked for the extremely North of Vietnam and Former H’Mong King’s Palace – the sacred national relic recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism in 1993 during the journey to Dong Van via Quan Ba and Yen Minh. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on the way.

Arrive in Dong Van in the late afternoon, you will be attracted by the stunning ancient of the town, two option places to check in this night are a guest house or the Hoa Cuong hotel at the heart center location of the town. Dinner rounds off these options in the evening.
