The endpoint of this tour is the Sapa Museum, A site where papers and artifacts about the history and culture of Sapa and various ethnic groups in Lao Cai province can be displayed and stored with more than 200 sample artifacts, pictures, documents,… The museum was built to resemble the architecture of the Tay people’s stilt house in Sa Pa, with two stories. The ground floor is a large open space with thematic displays and brocade souvenirs.

Day 2 (7 Apr): Morning explore Fansipan Peak with cable car – afternoon short trek to Heaven Gate & Silver Waterfalls (B, L)

After breakfast, we take a 4-minute Mountain Train through valleys, viaducts, and tunnels offering beautiful views of surrounding villages as well as nature. Reaching the Cable Car station, we get off the train and enjoy another 20-minute cable car ride up to the top. Normally, it takes at least two or three days to reach the Peak of Fansipan Mountain on foot. However, with the new three-rope cable car system, we can see the peak and spectacular surroundings from the peak within half a day.

After a 20-minute ride, we start challenging ourselves with 636 high steps up to Fansipan Summit – which is considered ‘The Roof of Indochina’ with a 3,143-meter height.

Enjoy the spectacular scenery of Hoang Lien Mountain and lush forest, we walk down to the cable car station and ride back.

Have a buffet lunch at the Fansipan Lounge.

Take the mountain train back to town, then begin the journey afternoon.

On arrival at the airport, we will be welcomed by our local guide and driver then transfer to our city hotel for check-in and relaxation.

Have a rest then at 07:00 PM, meet with a Hanoi food expert for a mouthwatering tour of the capital this evening. Start with a trip to Thanh Ha Market, where you’ll browse food stalls, try local delicacies, and uncover Vietnamese culinary culture. Then, head to Dong Xuan Market, famed for its noodle shops, and sample treats such as pho sot vang (noodle soup with pork and herbs) and bun dau (tofu served in soup with rice noodles and fermented shrimp paste).

After the street food, your adventure continues as you head to Hanoi’s famous Train Street, a narrow residential street where a train passes just inches from the homes and cafes. The train will run through this area while we enjoy our coffee here. Enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee at a local cafe, and if you’re lucky, you might witness the thrilling sight of a train passing through this unique neighborhood.

After dinner, we will visit the Saigon Skydeck, an iconic landmark located in the Bitexco Financial Tower. Day 10: Day trip to Mui Ne with Quad bike (ATV)

At 08:00 AM, we start our Mui Ne Sand Dune tour. We first visit the Fairy Stream, a nice natural stream in Mui Ne which we should not miss.

After that, we visit the White Sand dune. From the top of the huge dune, we can see all of the scenery of Mui Ne. We will also discover the daily activities of the fishing farm.

Not only visiting the white sand dune but we will also be fulfilled by the beautiful white sand dune. It is a more romantic time for seeing the sunset, slip on the sand. Moreover, in the middle of the white sand dunes, there is Lotus Lake – lotus is one of the most famous flowers in Vietnam.

After that, we will get on our Quad bike (ATV) for a 20-minute ride around the vast dunes from the foot to the top of the dunes. It’s great fun and exciting way to explore the dunes in a significantly easy-to-use ATV.

Day 11: Full-day Cu Chi Tunnels & Ho Chi Minh City Tour

Take the morning trip to visit and drive 1.5 hours to Cu Chi Tunnels. Upon arrival, watch an introductory video about the tunnels and how they were used during the war. Explore the tunnel systems, including living areas, kitchens, weapons factories, and more. You can also try special wartime food like tea and cassava or experience shooting real guns (extra fee by yourself).

After lunch at a local restaurant, Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, which was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence Palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu.

Day 1: Hanoi– Ba Be Lake (L, D)

At around 06:00 AM – 06:30 AM, check out your hotel in Hanoi, and then our driver and tour guide will pick you up in the early morning at your hotel in Hanoi and begin your journey through North-eastern Vietnam.

The drive to the national park is roughly 240 kilometers long, and on the way, we will stop in a local Tay village, where you will get to spend some time learning about their traditions and rice farming.

Once you arrive in Ba Be National Park, you will board a boat and head down the Nang River as it winds through wild and rugged landscapes before reaching Puong Grotto, where you can marvel at the impressive stalagmites and stalactites found within.

Afterwards, you will continue along the river until you reach Ban Can village where Tay ethnic minority people live on the river bank.

Take a walk through the village before getting on a boat which will take you to Ba Be Lake. Here you will get to visit Widow Island (named for the local legend regarding the lake) and those who wish can go for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters.

Day 2 (9th) Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on Cruise (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi by shuttle bus to start our journey. When we arrive at Halong International Harbour, you will wait at the lounge before boarding for the cruise. Transferred to the Athena Cruise by a tender boat. The cruise Manager and the whole crew member welcome you onboard, a safety briefing and clearing out the itinerary will be delivered while you are enjoying our signature welcome drink. Shortly after, enjoy your lunch at the Restaurant while viewing the beautiful islets of Ha Long Bay.

In the afternoon, the cruise stops at “Bo Nau” cave (Pelican Cave), the core area of the world’s natural heritage. Transferring by tender to “Sung Sot” Cave (Surprising cave) – the biggest and the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay. Leaving Surprising cave, keep moving by tender to the Titov Island was named by Uncle Ho, after Gherman Stepanovich Titov – the Soviet astronaut who visited in 1962. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach or climbing the steps of the Rock to the top of the island. A magical panoramic view of Halong Bay will surprise you there.

Around 5 pm, you will transfer back to Athena Cruise and spend time to relax with sunset party before joining a cooking demonstration of traditional Vietnamese dishes will be organized by Athena Head Chef.. After the dinner, enjoy some night activities on the boat like: squid fishing, drinks, or movies. The rest of night will be relaxing on the cruise.

Day 3 (10th) Halong Bay – Hanoi – City Tour with Cyclo & Water Puppet Show (B, L)

The morning activities will be a Taichi Class whilst cruising to “Luon” Cave. You will be enjoy the sunrise on board with the early breakfast serving at 7 am. At 8 am, we start visiting “Luon” Cave – one of the caves open to the form beautiful endemic then vegetation of Halong Bay. 2 options to choose how to discover it: kayaking for free and traditional woven (bamboo) boat rowed by a local boatman. After spending time here, we will return back to the Athena cruise, relaxing and packing the luggage. Leave the luggage outside the door. Athena team will collect and get them ready on the Pier. At 9:30 am, we enjoy a brunch buffet at the restaurant after check-out while cruising toward the port. Around 11:00 am, we will embark on the cruise and transfer back to Hanoi in the next 2-3 hours.

On your arrival in Hanoi, we will have a short rest before start the city tour with visiting the Temple of Literature, which was originally built as a temple to Confucius. After visit this place, we transfer to Phung Hung Street and enjoy time when the train run through this area before we enjoy 1-hour cyclo tour of the French-inspired “Old Quarter”. We will be free to shop in the old Quarter ranges from markets through to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries. The cyclo will stop at Ngoc Son Temple where we will take a picture of all members with The Huc Bridge, known as the symbol of Hoan Kiem Lake. From here, we walk to Bong Sen Theater to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets. After the show, we transfer back to hotel for relax

Day 4 (11th) Hanoi – Fly to Hue – City Tour (B, L)

This morning, we picked up at 5:30 am and transferred to the airport to take the morning flight to Hue.

Flight: Hanoi – Hue | HAN – HUI | VN 1541 | 08:00 – 09:15

On your arrival, our car will pick you up at the airport, and continue our tour to board the Dragon Boat on the romantic Perfume River heading out for the countryside. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and a visit to the most beautiful tombs will be on the itinerary for today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. We will enjoy a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda is considered the symbol of Hue, and of Buddhism in Vietnam. From here, we rejoin our van and go visit King Khai Dinh’s Tomb.

In the afternoon, we visit the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, after exploring the ruins of this wonderful monument. We will then depart to the Hue Royal Fine Art Museum, which is housed within the former Dien Long An Royal Palace. We then visit Linh Ung Pagoda and enjoy the peaceful feeling in the mountains as well as admire the spectacular panoramic view to the ocean from the height from Linh Ung Pagoda. Having lunch at a local restaurant. This morning, we start the cooking class tour by a welcome drink at Hai Café. Then, we visit Hoi An’s colourful main market, and experience its amazing sights, sounds and aromas. We will have an opportunity to interact with the local sellers, to see and taste the wonderful variety of foods on display.

After that, we arrive at Cooking School and have a chance to freshen up before beginning our class. Working together with our Chef we learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food from scratch. On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s best-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – each dish is first demonstrated by our chef, before we prepare the same dish ourselves. The class will include a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat exactly what we have cooked. We will finish at approximately 12.30pm – transfer back to central Hoi An arriving approximately 1.00pm

We have an early start this morning as we head off to our Farming & Fishing Life Eco Tour. Starting at Tra Que Village, we will get a personal insight into the local farming communities. We set about joining the farmers in preparing their land for sowing, helping to fertilize the garden using seaweed from the local river and watering it in using huge tin cans strapped to our backs. Following this, we will begin our leisurely cycling tour through the countryside witnessing local Vietnamese rural life first hand. Late morning we will board our Hoi An Eco-tour boat for a river cruise. Here we will meet and witness local fishermen working their craft, before enjoying a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. We then transfer to a Vietnamese bamboo basket boat for a quick race and ride down a coconut palm lined waterway. Lunch today, is on board our boat, which is prepared using vegetables picked earlier at Tra Que Village.

After lunch, we have some free time to wander around Hoi An town centre before heading back to the hotel.

Set off on the back of our Vespas to discover the villages and countryside around Hoi An! Zoom out of town, following the banks of the Thu Bon River to a bustling local fish market. After a short walk through the market stalls, continue by Vespa into the lush countryside, filled with rice paddies and sleepy hamlets.

Pop into a family’s workshop to see how they make local rice crackers. Then continue across the Thu Bon River and ride through more quiet villages. Take a break for local snacks and drinks in a picturesque spot, giving you a chance to soak up the views and learn about the seasonal vegetables being grown in the area.

As the day winds to a close, the Vespas continue through the rice paddies, passing duck farms and other scenes of rural life. Pull over to see a family using traditional weaving to make floor mats and then on to another small workshop where potent rice wine is brewed! We then ride back to Hoi An, across the Cam Kim Bridge, and drop you at your hotel as the sun begins to set on this beautiful heritage town!

After breakfast, we will be free until your driver arrives to take you to Danang International airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, welcomed upon arrival by a local tour guide and driver then we transferred to Cu Chi Tunnels for our half day visit. Cu Chi Tunnels is 50 km far from the city center. It’s located in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh city. These are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels that were the location of military campaigns during American wars. This area is now a “should-not-be-missed” site for all visitors traveling to Vietnam. We will watch a short introduction video showing the foundation, activities… of Cu Chi tunnels and people lived here in the past then we will crawl all the safe parts of the tunnel system; enjoy some special cassava and tea  that served free in the tour. Later, we can go to the shooting range where we can try to fire real bullets: (costs US$3/bullet) or free for shopping at the souvenir shops. Back to Ho Chi Minh City and trip end at the hotel.

Day 8 (15th) Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L, D)

We pick you up at the hotel after breakfast and transfer you to Cai Be. The program will start with a visit to Tan Phong Island for biking/walking on village paths to see the local daily life: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses… On the way, we can have some stops to see how they wave the dried water hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, and shoes…

Then, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy a peaceful time. Next, we back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, the Mekong River, to come to An Bình Island. While we travel on a handmade canal to homestay, we can walk around this orchard & enjoy some cups of tea while listening to the traditional music in the ancient house.

After that, we walk into the local village to visit the local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop-rice and enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea. It’ll give you an unforgettable experience. One more thing to do on this trip is visiting the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. The cruise transfers us back to Vinh Long city where we take our own vehicle to Can Tho and spend our night here.

Day 9 (16th) Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

Early morning today, we will take the boat trip to visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market with the busy sense right at the time. This is a biggest floating market in Mekong Delta where we can see the daily life and local people selling their products on boats. If the time permits, we can visit Binh Thuy Ancient House here.

After that, you will be back to the hotel and have free time until check out. At noon, we will head back to Ho Chi Minh City and have lunch en-route. Arrive at our hotel in the afternoon and have free time at leisure. We will spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

6:45 am: The car pick-up for the transfer in 6 hours to Sapa.
Highlights:  On the way you will learn more about the different process of making rice field to the rice is on the dinner table. You will hear about the daily life of Black Hmong and Giay minorities.

Itinerary:

You will commence your short journey by driving south toward Muong Hoa valley. You will then start your walk by descending into the valley, which is the largest rice paddy terraced among Sapa area. The guide can provide you interesting information about rice. If you visit the valley sometime in between May and October, you will be able to observe and experience how the local do planting and harvesting, one of the most important activities in the daily life. The walk takes you from Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority.

Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing. Giay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Giay’s houses are build of wood and bamboo with a clay floor.

After visiting Ta Van the car will return you to Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – Fansipan Peak – Shared Limousine to Hanoi (B)

After breakfast at hotel, we take a 4-minute Mountain Train through valleys, viaducts, and tunnels offering beautiful views of surrounding villages as well as nature. Reaching the Cable Car station, we get off the train and enjoy another 20-minute cable car ride up to the top. Normally, it takes at least two or three days to reach the Peak of Fansipan Mountain on foot. However, with the new three-rope cable car system, we can see the peak and spectacular surroundings from the peak within half a day. After 3 cable cars, we enjoy the spectacular scenery of Hoang Lien Mountain and the lush forest, We walk down to the cable car station and ride back. Take the Mountain Train then we go to the Sapa Glass Bridge (also called Cau Kinh Rong May which means Dragon in Cloud Glass Bridge) is located at O Quy Ho Pass which is only about 17km from Sapa town center. This stunning bridge was built on the top of O Quy Ho Pass and at more than 500m of Hoang Lien Son Mountain cliff height.  After the tour, we transfer back to the central and get on the shared limousine pick-up at 2:30 pm and we transfer back to Hanoi.

Xin chào! Welcome to Hanoi, the Capital city of Vietnam! On arrival at the Airport, we will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to our hourly hotel next to the train station for check-in and relaxation.

Have a rest then at lunch time, we will take a walk with a fixed route across various famous local food stalls to enjoy dinner in the most authentic Viet manner. Strolling through the street hawkers that sell a staggering variety of products. We tempt our taste buds with 3 choices for dinner at local eateries among below dishes:

Afterwards, we will drive through a maze of alleyways known only by locals and get to know the behind-the-scenes stories along the exciting journey through Hanoi traffic. We will drive through the vibrant French Colonial Quarter and Old Quarter area with majestic French-style houses. Our jeep will take you through the green boulevards of Indochina’s capital, where you can see the influence of French architecture. Along the ride, we will pass by all the landmarks of the city such as the embassy area, Hanoi Opera House, Long Bien Bridge and many more.

We will then proceed our journey to the West Lake to get to know a more modern part of life in the city. This is known as “Hanoi Modern Quarter”, opposed to the Old Quarter area. Not only it is the city’s largest lake, West Lake is also perhaps the most romantic corner of Hanoi which has appeared in many songs, stories and, poems about the city. Due to the lake’s unique “Feng shui” location, dozens of spiritual sites have been created all around it. Our knowledgeable tour guide will explain everything while we zipping around the lake, through the ancient villages nestled in the city’s most peaceful areas. Then, move on to Truc Bach Lake nearby – a frantic Hanoi with thousands of skyscrapers in the city’s new areas.

09:30 Arrive Viet Hai local pier for your 30-minute biking on a paved road along a nice lagoon then head up to a small slope before descending through a tunnel cave. The pleasant ride along the jungle path will lead you to Viet Hai, a small village nestled between jungle and limestone.
12:30 Lunch is served whether at the village or on board.
15:00 The cruise come to Ba Trai Dao Beach. The sea water in Ba Trai Dao Beach is very clean, and on sunny days, the bottom can be seen. It’s also safe for swimming and kayaking.
16:00 Return to the main boat and leisure till dinner.

Day 6: Halong Bay – Transfer to Hanoi (B, Br)

06:00 Greet the new day on the sundeck with a tachi session. Enjoy the fresh air on the bay while you unwind with a cup of tea or coffee. 06:30 Light breakfast is served inside Ha Long Restaurant.
06:45 Enjoy a quick breakfast on board and get your day going with plenty of energy.
07:30 You will join the tour of Cat Ba World Biosphere. It will take you around 30 minutes to transfer from Gia Luan to Trung Trang – one of the most impressive caves in Cat Ba Island, Vietnam.
09:30 Back to the main boat for relaxing and check out at the reception, please put all your luggage at the outside of your cabin, crew member will help to bring luggage on land.
09:45 Lunch is served in the restaurant while the boat heads back to the harbor.
11:00 Disembark from the cruise as our crew bid farewell, back to Tuan Chau Marina by our speed boat and the cruise’s bus services will transfer you back to your hotel stay in Hanoi. Check-in to your hotel and have a rest.

Xin chào! Welcome to Dalat, the city of thousand flowers!
On arrival at Cam Ranh Airport, we will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in and relaxation.

Have a rest then later this evening, we will be taken out for a nice welcome dinner with delicious local food in town. After dinner, enjoy the rest of the day free at your own leisure.

Day 2: Full-day Dalat Countryside Tour (B, L)

Today, enjoy your breakfast at hotel then we will be picked up at 9AM by our guide and driver to go on a scenic road trip from Da Lat to Cau Dat townlet. Enjoy the scene of Dalat’s countryside along the way. Cau Dat Farm is the favorite destination for those who love nature. Here, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the peace and quietness of the countryside. We then proceed to visit the oldest tea farm and tea factory in Vietnam which was built in 1927.

Sip hot tea in the cool air of the museum among hundred-years-old machines and learn the history of local tea-farming and production. We will then go by buggy to visit and harvest the organic vegetable and fruit at the farms nearby. Taste the cucumber, lettuce, and strawberry (seasonal dependent) direct from the plants. After taking a picture of the vast green tea plantation hills, we stop at a coffee shop on the hillside and try some cake and taste the best cup of coffee in the best mountain view of Da Lat.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive to the Lado wine factory. What a surprise that Vietnamese can make not only wine but the best wine. Visit the wine cellar and wine glass castle. Taste wine and walk around the factory to learn Vietnam wine history. After, you will be escorted safely back to your hotel.

Suggested evening activities: take a stroll around Xuan Huong Lake or walk to the busy night market at the picturesque city centre.

Day 3: Dalat – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City – Transfer to Mui Ne (B, L)

Today, enjoy breakfast and check-out then our guide and driver arrive at your hotel stay to escort you to the airport (approx. 30 minutes driving) in good time for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, be warmly greeted by your personal driver and guide then we will go on a transfer to Mui Ne (approx. 3.30 – 3.45 hours driving). En-route, we will make stop in Ho Chi Minh city centre for a nice lunch. On arrival in Mui Ne, you will check in our hotel and enjoy the day free at your own leisure: have a rest or venture out to explore the beautiful beach city of Mui Ne, enjoy the freshest seafood at the colorful night markets.

Mui Ne is one of the best beaches in Vietnam and famous for its huge rolling dunes. There is a good range of hotels on the beach, some offering accommodation in bamboo villas and bungalows. Many have very attractive, well-kept gardens. Large trees and palms screen the hotels from each other creating a sense of seclusion. There are also plenty of restaurants along the beach road – a mixture of Vietnamese and international.

Day 4: Mui Ne Sand Dunes & ATV Half-day Tour – Transfer to Nha Trang (B, L)

After breakfast, we check-out at 9AM then venture out for our Sand Dune half-day tour by jeep. We first visit the Fairy Stream which is a must-see in Mui Ne. After that, we visit Yellow Sand dune. From the top of the dunes, we can get a panoramic view of Mui Ne scenery. We will then go to discover the daily activities of a local fishing farm. Not only visiting yellow sand dune, we will also be fulfilled by the beautiful white sand dunes. After that, we will get on our Quad bike (ATV) for a 30-minute ride around the vast dunes from the foot to the top of the dunes. It’s a great fun and exciting way to explore the sand dunes.

After the tour, we will make stop to enjoy a local lunch before proceed with a drive to our next destination: Nha Trang (approx. 4 – 4.15 hours driving). Upon arrival in Nha Trang, check-in to your hotel rooms then time will be free for you to do as you wish: lazing on the beach, strolling to town to do some shopping and get the freshest seafood or just relaxing by the windy beach.

Day 5: Nha Trang Special Islands Discovery with Snorkeling & Medical Mud Bath (B, L)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel then we will be picked up at 9AM to go on an amazing islands adventure. Our first stop will be the Vietnam Oceanographic Institute. We will then get on the boat to Tam Island and spend some times there snorkeling. Along the way to the island, go photo stop at Tri Nguyen Aquarium (outside). We will then get the chance to enjoy the basket boat experience and explore the life of fishermen at Mieu Fishing Village. Then, we arrive at Bamboo Resort for a special seafood lunch.

Relax and swim at Bamboo Island until when you want to come back to the mainland for our next stop, the hot spa where we will get some health recovery by indulging and soaking ourselves in the warm spring water and mineral mud. Afterwards, you will feel fresh as a daisy. After the tour, our guide and driver will escort you safely back to your hotel stay.

This morning, you will be free.

Around 5 pm, we enjoy 1-hour cyclo tour of the French-inspired “Old Quarter”. We will be free to shop in the old Quarter ranges from markets through to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries. We will then sit down to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets. Then, we transfer back to hotel and start a walking tour around the old quarter of Hanoi along different streets, try to taste many kinds of local food such as beef/chicken noodle soup, oil-fried pastry, tofu, rice pancake, pillow cake, sweet soup, stuff pancake with pork, draught beer… and one of our best surprised is a stop at Dong Xuan wholesales market where we know many kinds of ingredients being sold.

Last but not least is our happy ending at a hidden coffee in the Old Quarters enjoy its famous ‘egg coffee’ in a pleasant surrounding overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake. Fortunately, as it’s Friday so there’s night market and walking street around Hoan Kiem Lake. It would be a great chance to immerse in the local life of the local at weekend here. After the tour, we return back to hotel in old quarter Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Duong Lam Ancient Village – Vintage Jeep ½ Day GROUP TOUR (B, L)

This morning, we meet tour guide and driver at the lobby of the hotel and transfer 60 Km to the west of Hanoi to visit Duong Lam Ancient village. This is the first ancient village recognised as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information in Vietnam. It has a history of about 1,200 years with many houses dating back up to 400 years. One special thing about the village is that most of the buildings here are made of laterite and mud, two materials that are abundant in the area. Laterite is used on house walls, gates, wells, temple walls, and so forth. The mud is taken from ponds. Apart from its historical and tourism values, Duong Lam ancient village is an important place for scientists to study resident communities in ancient agriculture. The village gate, banyan, well, communal house are important factors in classifying Duong Lam ancient village.

On arrival, we will walk along the tine ancient alleys, meet and talk over a cup of green tea with the local in the ancient house. We will then visit Mong Phu Temple, the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact.

After lunch in a local house with traditional Vietnamese food, we will cycle to Mia Pagoda which was built in 15th Century containing 287 statues of different sizes; Ngo Quyen & Phung Hung Temples the two National Heroes of Vietnam. In the late afternoon, we transfer back to Hanoi and join the Jeep Tour.

First, we go to Backstreet Ride. We will drive through a maze of alleyways known only by locals, make friends with people and get to know the behind-the-scenes stories. The next stop is the French & Old Quarter with majestic French-style houses. Our jeep will take you through the green boulevards of Indochina’s capital, where you can see the influence of French architecture. The embassy area, Hanoi Opera House, Long Bien Bridge, and other Hanoi landmarks will be passed through.

The Great Westlake is the third place to know about the new parts of Hanoi Westlake, Hanoi’s largest lake, which is known as the city’s “air conditioner.” Due to the lake’s unique “Feng shui” location, dozens of spiritual sites have been created all around it. Our knowledgeable tour guide will explain everything and take you around the city. Then we zip around the West Lake, and pass through the city’s most peaceful areas, with ancient villages nestled around the West Lake, Truc Bach Lake – A frantic Hanoi with thousands of skyscrapers in the city’s new areas.

Day 4: Hanoi – Bat Trang Ceramic Village Full Day with Traditional Oldstyle Feast (B, L)

Around 10:00 am, we will take a 15-Km drive to the outskirt of Hanoi in the East to visit Bat Trang Ceramic Village, which is located on the left bank of Hong River. This ceramic village was dated back from 15th century and soon became one of the most famous ceramic and pottery villages in the North of Vietnam. On arrival at the village, we will visit Bat Trang Communal House, which was built under Le Du Tong King’s period, from 1719 to 1720. We then visit the ancient house and ceramic workshops of artist Tran Van Do, To Thanh Son and Vu Duc Thang. If you wish, you can try your hands in making your own ceramic products, something for the beginners such as cup, bowl or flower vases. We finish our trip with a visit to the French ancient building since 1920s.

After the tour, we will enjoy the traditional oldstyle feast in Bat Trang which is used to serve in Lunar New Year in Vietnam. Finishing the lunch, we return back to Hanoi and enjoy the time in Phung Hung Street. This street is famous with train go through while you’re enjoy a cup of coffee here. After spending around 1 hour here, we continue to visit the Temple of Literature, which was originally built as a temple to Confucius. Later this afternoon, we enjoy 1-hour cyclo tour of the French-inspired “old quarter”. We will be free for shopping in the old quarter ranging from markets through to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries. Then, we sit down to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets and return back to the hotel in Hanoi.

Funfact: Bat Trang is also a cradle of traditional Vietnamese cuisine with many dishes and original flavors passed down through generations. Visiting Bat Trang, we shouldn’t miss the opportunity to try out the village’s iconic “old-time feast”. In the North, festive-offering trays often had six bowls and eight plates of different traditional delicacies for the feast. At lunch time, we can visit a local culinary artisan’s home, sit down and have a cup of tea with them then enjoy the feast for lunch which was prepared by the artisan themselves or their children/students. Feast comes in a FIXED serving size for groups of 4 to 6 and requires reservation at least 3 days in advance.

Day 5: Hanoi – City Tour (B, L)

Today, at 8:30 am, our guide pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi where we will venture out to explore Hanoi the first stop will be a coffee shop on Phung Hung Street. The train will run through this area while we enjoy our coffee here. After spending around 1 hour here, we continue to visit the Temple of Literature, which was originally built as a temple to Confucius. Let’s continue the tour by visiting Quan Thanh Temple represents the Taoist religion dating from Ly Dynasty and Tran Quoc pagoda dedicated to Buddha (the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, especially locates on West Lake where you can capture nice sightseeing). Lunch is inclusive and served after the Tran Quoc pagoda visit.

Then, we go to the Ho Chi Minh Complex as the first attraction. With a fixed route, you will see Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (visit outside) which houses his corpse everlasting so that Vietnamese people and friend countries can come to pay expectation to him as the greatest president ever in Vietnam; his stilt-house described as Ho Chi Minh’s final resting accommodation since his death in 1969, and One Pillar pagoda with a long history back to 1049 during Ly dynasty in Vietnam- the period that Buddhist was most magnifically prosperous. The architecture followed special meanings as well. You absolutely find out how special this city means to Vietnamese people.

After the tour here, we will spend time in the infamous Hoa Lo Prison Museum. Hoa Lo is also known as the ‘’Hanoi Hilton’’ and was where former US presidential candidate John McCain was incarcerated for over 5 years.

Day 6: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on Cruise (B, L, D)

After breakfast, the shuttle bus will pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi and we transfer to Halong Bay in the next 2.5 hours.

When we arrive at Tuan Chau Marina, you will get checked in at Paradise Suites Hotel and transferred to the Paradise Cruise via Electric Cart. Once arrived, you will be given a short briefing about your cruise itinerary and safety regulations while you enjoy some complimentary welcoming drinks. Shortly after, enjoy your lunch at the Restaurant while viewing the beautiful islets of Ha Long Bay.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Tung Sau Pearl farm where you will have the chance to learn about the process of pearl cultivation or you go kayaking instead. Afterward, your next stop will be at Titop Island, an island named after the Russian Cosmonaut “Gherman Stepanovich Titov”. You can choose to either hike the island’s mountain to get a majestic view of Ha Long Bay or swim at the beach.

After that, we return to the cruise and enjoy the Bay sunset while enjoying the “Happy Hour” special. You may also join our chef in the kitchen to learn how to make a Vietnamese Dish. After a Western Set Dinner, enjoy some night activities on the boat like: squid fishing, drinks, or movies. The rest of night will be relaxing on the cruise.

Day 7: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Hue (B, L)

Start your day with a Tai Chi Session at the Sundeck. Then, we enjoy a light meal with some fresh pastries, coffee, and tea at the restaurant. Next destination will be the Sung Sot Cave, the largest and most magnificent cave in the bay where you can see the stalactites in different forms. Afterward come to enjoy breakfast while the cruise passes by Thien Cung, Dau Go Cave, and the Fighting Cock Islet. After breakfast, you will check out and are free to enjoy the rest of your trip at the Lounge or on the sundeck looking at the astonishing view of Halong Bay. At 10:15 AM, Paradise Cruise returns to Tuan Chau Marina. Finally, we disembark and farewell the crew then get back to Hanoi by our shuttle bus/D-car in 2.5 to 3 hours driving.

When you return back to Hanoi, our car will wait for you at the hotel’s lobby before we transfer to the airport. On your arrival, our car will pick you up at the ariport and transfer to hotel in Hue for accommodation.

Around 8.00 – 8.30 am, we pick you up at the hotel in Hue to start our journey. The first place of our trip is Thien Mu pagoda – The oldest pagoda in Hue city. We go there by Dragon boat to have a different look at the fabled Perfume River and also fully admire the beauty of Thien Mu pagoda from afar. After that, we explore the Imperial Citadel – The home of Vietnam & the last royal dynasty – the Nguyen Dynasty. Famously being one of Vietnam’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Imperial City of Hue has long been a must-see attraction for tourists visiting a hidden charm of Vietnam.

Following, we go to Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people. It’s relatively clean, with ample space, and most of what’s sold will fit in your suitcase. This place is designed for locals so you can pick up some cheap and tasty eats. The market ranges from raw foods to t-shirts and the usual stuff you find at tourist markets.

After lunch, we continue to visit Tu Duc & Khai Dinh King’s Tomb – a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. Khai Dinh designed his tomb himself, after exposure to France, and surely Chinese aesthetics, and it is very different from most other temples with nice colors, and beautiful fusion costumes (although he set a trend if you look at newer temples). This place will suitable for someone who likes history. The view is amazing, if try you can get a lot of perfect pictures. You will be impressed by the majesty and symmetry of the architectural constructions.

One more place on this trip is Conical Hat Village, an incense stick-making village. It has been a well-known trademark in Vietnam and around the world. When it comes to Hue’s traditional villages, conical hat village is one of the most well-known brands. It is dedicated to preserving Hue’s distinctive cultural attractiveness. Day 9: Hue – Hoi An – Walking Tour with Street Foods (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel by vehicle to Hoi An along scenic highway 1A. Along the way, we will stop to contemplate the stunning views North of Lang Co Beach, and South of Danang city. The transfer will be no guide.

On arrival in Danang, we will have a brief visit to Marble Mountain – the five elements of the Universe (water, wood, air, fire, and earth). We will arrive in Hoi An in the afternoon. Then, we will start our walking tour around the ancient town to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky’s old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An, the temples, and pagodas of Chinese appearance. Then we are back to our hotel to relax.

After breakfast, we will be free until your driver arrives to take you to Danang International Airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, welcome upon arrival by a local tour guide and driver then we transfer to the hotel for check-in. After check-in, we will be free to wander around the hustle and bustle city on your own.

This unique itinerary is designed for tourists who want discover a different Ho Chi Minh City by night. The traffic is still utter nightmare but the Vespa drivers are so good that we still feel relax and comfortable. You will travel around all the highlight places in Ho Chi Minh City and see how they are in the nighttime, colorful and brightening. You also try many kinds of local food such as Seafood, “Banh xeo – Southern pancake”, “Cha gio – Southern Sprillroll”, “Bo xien nuong – roasted beef” and local beers…. 

We are picked up by Vespa driver at 6 PM and drive to meeting happy point at Cafes Zoom where we enjoy welcome drink and snack. Here, we are also be top models when the Vespa Adventure staff takes us many nice photos and send to us after the tour.

We start our tour once the sun disappears in the west; the drivers drive us around the big streets to small streets and we can see all the daily nightlife of local people. Then we stop at a seafood workshop for our first tasting meal. With all picked up dishes, we enjoy with local beer, fruit juice or cold water while streets outside are still busy. After that, Vespa drivers take us back to center district, passing many highlight places in the city and we finally meet tour guide who take his private Vespa at the Banh Xeo workshop. This is a special street restaurant where we will have chance to see the local women cooking Banh Xeo what we later try with cold drink. When we think we can’t eat anymore, it’s time the Vespa drivers take us to a hidden Vietnamese-style coffee shop to have a taste of Vietnamese live music as local. There is no micro, no power light, it’s only live songs and candle and people whisper to pick up drink. We can stay here long as we can or we will move to the last destination to change the music taste if we are fan of Rock & beer (Optional for family is Ice-cream workshop). We are back to hotels, say goodbye with Vespa drivers, tour guide, and enjoy a peaceful night.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – City GROUP TOUR (B, L)

The first place of the morning trip is Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification palace, which was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu.

We continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of both the Indochina wars. After the tour, we will transfer back to hotel

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L)

We pick you up at the hotel after breakfast and transfer you to Cai Be. The program will start with a visit to Tan Phong Island for biking/walking on village paths to see the local daily life: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses… On the way, we can have some stops to see how they wave the dried water hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, and shoes…

Then, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy a peaceful time. Next, we back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, the Mekong River, to come to An Bình Island. While we travel on a handmade canal to homestay, we can walk around this orchard & enjoy some cups of tea while listening to the traditional music in the ancient house.

After that, we walk into the local village to visit the local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop-rice and enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea. It’ll give you an unforgettable experience. One more thing to do on this trip is visiting the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. The cruise transfers us back to Vinh Long city where we take our own vehicle to Can Tho and spend our night here.

Day 14: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

Early morning today, we will take the boat trip to visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market with the busy sense right at the time. This is a biggest floating market in Mekong Delta where we can see the daily life and local people selling their products on boats. If the time permits, we can visit Binh Thuy Ancient House here.

After that, you will be back to the hotel and have free time until check out. At noon, we will head back to Ho Chi Minh City and have lunch en-route. Arrive at our hotel in the afternoon and have free time at leisure. We will spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi, the Capital city of Vietnam!

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, we will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to the hotel for  check-in and relaxation.

Day 2: Bat Trang Ceramic & Dong Ho Traditional Village Tour (B, L)

This morning, your personal guide and driver will arrive at your hotel’s lobby at 8.30AM to pick  you up. First, we will drive along the Red River dyke, passing through guava and vegetable  gardens, to the Ceramic Village of Bat Trang, which is located on the left bank of the Red River.

Upon arrival at the village, our guide will lead you through the zigzagging maze of alleyways to learn about the manufacture of ceramic products, the villagers’ daily lives and get beautiful  potteries at relatively low prices. During the walking tour, we will make stop at a local workshop to watch the process of making ceramics and you can design your own ceramic bowl or teacup (at own expenses).

We then stop for lunch with delicious local cuisine before proceed the tour to Dong Ho Village, where we discover the Dong Ho way of painting – this is a very special and unique traditional Vietnamese art form. Images are engraved on wooden boards’ rot-proof modest size. Some large prints require more than twenty boards assembled together. The printing was done on papers of different colors, obtained from bamboo, mulberry bark or rhamnonuron (Do paper).

After the tour, you will be escorted safely back to your hotel stay in Hanoi.

Day 3: Ky Son & Duong Lam Ancient Village Full-day Tour (B, L)

This morning, be warmly greeted by your personal tour guide and driver at your hotel’s lobby at  7.30AM then we will transfer 55km to the west of Hanoi to Ky Son Village with many traditional houses which some are up to 200 years old. Arriving mid-morning at around 9AM, we will enjoy our welcome drink – fresh local green tea.

We then proceed to get on our bike (6km round-trip) and start exploring Ky Son, Tam Son, Van Minh, and Cham farming communities, stopping along the way to interact with local families about their daily lives and chances for a nice welcoming cup of tea. There will also be opportunities to help with plowing or making rice beds, transplanting seedlings and harvesting rice, cassava, corn or sweet potatoes (depends on the harvest season).

At 11.30, we will start our return to Moon Garden and enjoy a local lunch with some homegrown products: maize, sweet potato, cassava, peanuts… (depending on season) or some traditional  desserts. After lunch, we return to our private vehicle for a ride back to Hanoi.  

En-route, we will make stop to venture further into Duong Lam Ancient Village. Upon arrival, walk along the many tiny and long alleys, meet and talk with the locals over a cup of green tea in their old houses. One special thing about the village is that most of the buildings here are made of laterite and mud taken from the local ponds, two materials that are abundant in the area. Laterite is used on house walls, gates, wells, temple walls, and so forth. We will visit Mong Phu Temple, the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact. Along the tour, we will also get to see Mia Pagoda which was built in 15th Century containing 287 statues of different sizes; Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung Temples, the two National Heroes of Vietnam. In the late  afternoon, you will be escorted safely back to your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 4: Cultural Day Tour to Ha Nam – Tam Chuc & Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda Spiritual Tourism Complex (B, L)

This morning, be warmly greeted by your personal tour guide and driver at your hotel’s lobby at  8.30AM then we will proceed with a transfer to Ha Nam Province. The 1-hour driving route offers you a great sightseeing chance to see the awe-inspiring landscape in Northern Vietnam.

09h30: We arrive at the scenic area of Tam Chuc Pagoda Spiritual Tourism Complex. Our first  stop will be Thuy Dinh guesthouse – where you can see pictures depicting the whole temple,  freely admire the scenery and take pictures. Then, we will go to the tram station to visit Tam Chuc Pagoda – a sacred temple built with thousands of stone paintings meticulously and carefully assembled by the talented hands of people. skilled craftsman.

After stepping through the Tam Quan Gate, you walk up to the main hall and go through the Garden of  Pillars – each column weighs about 200 tons. Along the two sides of the gate are 2 big roads to reach the  magnificent Tam Dien with 3 main halls: Quan Am Palace, Tam The Temple and Phap Chu Temple – each  shrine is dedicated to a Buddha with different sacred meanings. 

We walk up to the top of That Tinh Mountain and pay a quick visit to Ngoc Pagoda (Jade Pagoda),  this is one of the main items of Tam Chuc. To be able to admire this temple, you will have to pass  299 stone steps. Standing on Ngoc Pagoda, you will be able to see the vast, charming landscape. Up on the hill, the scene extremely peaceful and free.

12:30: We make stop to sit down and enjoy a nice local lunch.

Then, depart to visit Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda (or Ji Tang Phi Lai Tu). The temple is known for its purity and beautiful architecture, located in the middle of the pine forest, evoking an ethereal, escapist feeling that anyone who has the opportunity to come here can feel.

When visiting temples and pagodas; please dress modestly: no sleeveless clothes, if wearing a skirt or dress, it should be below your knees and if wearing shorts, the length should be 3/4 way to your knees or longer. After the tour, we will return to our private vehicle for a ride to our next destination: Ninh Binh. Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, check-in to your hotel rooms and have a rest.

Day 5: Ninh Binh Discovery to Hoa Lu, Trang An & Mua Cave (B, L)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel then today, we will venture out to explore the natural beauty of  Ninh Binh. Our first stop will be to Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel – the historic capital of Vietnam  where you can visit the famous ancient temples of Le and the Dinh Dynasties.

After lunch, we depart to visit Trang An Eco-Tourism complex, take a boat trip to visit the impressive cave complex consists of Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in the mysterious wilderness, see the scenery of mountain and rivers of the “Halong Bay on land”.

In the afternoon, we will pay a visit to Hang Mua – Dancing Cave, where you can get the impressive panoramic views of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh city, see the amazing scenery of rice fields and river canals when you reach the top point of Ngoa Long Mountain (about 500 stone steps).

After, we will be escorted safely back to our hotel. Bid farewell to your friendly guide who will return to Hanoi.

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (-)

Welcome to Hanoi, Capital city of Vietnam!

On arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, we will be warmly-welcomed by your personal drivers (no guides) and transfer to our city hotel for check-in and relaxation.

Day 2: Duong Lam Ancient Village & Hanoi Old Quarter Exploration (B, L)

Duong Lam is the first ancient village to be recognized as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture and  Information in Vietnam. It has a history of about 1,200 years with many houses dating back up to 400  years. Apart from its historical and tourism values, Duong Lam is an important place for scientists to study  resident communities in ancient agriculture. The village gate, banyan, well, communal house are important  factors in classifying Duong Lam ancient village. One special thing about the village is that most of the  buildings here are made of laterite and mud taken from the local ponds. 

This morning, be warmly greeted by your personal tour guide and driver at your hotel’s lobby then we will transfer 60 km to the west of Hanoi to visit Duong Lam Ancient Village. Upon  arrival, we will walk along the many tiny and long alleys, meet and talk with the locals over a cup of green tea in their old houses. Laterite is used on house walls, gates, wells, temple walls, and so forth. We will take our bikes and start cycling to Mia Pagoda which was built in 15th Century containing 287 statues of different sizes. Along the tour, we will also get to visit the lacquer painting workshop opened by famous Vietnamese artist Nguyen Tan Phat. See how  this old traditional art of Vietnam is celebrated and kept alive by younger artists.

At lunch time, we will make stop at a local house and enjoy a home hosted meal with traditional local cuisine of the North. Enjoy lunch in true Vietnamese family style, have a short break then we will return to Hanoi for an afternoon exploration around the city.

In Hanoi, we will go on a 1-hour cyclo tour of the French-inspired “old quarter”, you will be  driven through the busy streets, passing by notable locations of the city such as the St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Hoan Kiem Lake and Sunbeam Bridge (The Huc) to Jade Mountain Temple (Ngoc Son Temple). We will then sit down to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets Show, a traditional art form of Vietnam with Hanoi heritage.

Afterwards, we will join in with the locals in the walking street around Hoan Kiem Lake (only on weekends). Walk around and immerse yourself in the local life here. We will then have some free time for shopping in the old quarter ranging from markets, especially Dong Xuan Market to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries.

Last but not least is our happy ending at a hidden coffee in the Old Quarters where you can  recharge your energy with the city’s most famous drinks such as coffee with condensed milk (Bac Xiu) or egg coffee. After the tour, you will be escorted safely back to your hotel stay.

Time will be on your own! If you like shopping, the Silk Street in the Old Quarter is a good place for art, embroidery, lacquer ware, silver articles, and jewelry; Hang Than Street where you will find delicious local snacks: Flan cake, Coconut Jelly or Mixed fresh fruit served with crushed ice and condensed milk.

Day 3: Hanoi – Bai Dinh & Hoa Lu & Mua Cave & Tam Coc Tour (B, L)

This morning, enjoy breakfast at hotel and check-out then at 8.30AM, be warmly greeted by your  personal guide at your hotel’s lobby. We will depart for Ninh Binh province (approx. 2 – 2.5 hours  driving). Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, we will proceed to visit Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel and explore the historic capital of Vietnam where you can visit the famous ancient temples of Le and the Dinh Dynasties. Then, visit Bai Dinh Spiritual and Cultural Complex. Here, see Bai Dinh Pagoda, the  biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. We will also get to visit the Buddha Prayer place.

After lunch, we will Tam Coc (Three Grottoes) with a sampan boat ride (approx. 1.5 hours), rowed by a local. We will get the chance for sightseeing along Ngo Dong River in Tam Coc which is known as “Halong Bay on the land”.

Visiting the three caves Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba (Tam Coc). Our journey will be blessed with the peaceful scenery of special karst mountain surrounded with rice paddy and the sight of some ancient temples along the way. If traveling during harvest season, we might get lucky and see the ripe yellow/green rice paddy field.

Then, we will proceed to visit Hang Mua – Dancing Cave, where you can get the impressive panoramic views of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh city, see the amazing scenery of rice fields and river canals when you reach the top of Ngoa Long Mountain (about 500 stone steps).

After the tour, you will be escorted safely to your hotel stay in Ninh Binh for check-in and relaxation.

  • Stroll to Hoa Lu Ancient Town (Tran Hung Dao Street) to see fine handicraft products.

Day 4: Cuc Phuong National Park Full-day Tour – Overnight in Ninh Binh (B, L)

After breakfast, our car will bring us to Cuc Phuong National Park – the oldest national parks in Vietnam established since 1962.

The park boasts an engaging cultural, wildlife heritage, and enchanting scenery. Covered in a dense forest,  this landscape forms the habitat for some of Asia’s rarest animal and plant species. The ancient forest harbors over 2234 vascular and non-vascular plants, 122 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 135  mammals. There are also an incredible 308 documented bird species. Visitors in April and May should be  blessed with the chance to see literally thousands of vibrant butterflies. 

Upon arrival, we will visit the Cave of Prehistoric Man, and reentering the Stone Age through  our exploration (approx. 0.3km walk). The rocky outcrops of Cuc Phuong formed the site of  valuable pale ontological and anthropological vestiges, including the remains of prehistoric  people who lived in the forest some 7500 years ago are also to be found in numerous mountain  caves. Then, we will drive another 2km from the cave to the starting point of our 9-km hike (loop  trail with some small rocky slopes) to visit the Big Ancient Tree before sitting down to enjoy a  picnic lunch in the forest. Finally, we visit some Dinosaur Fossil of up to 200 – 230 million years  old before walking/cycling back to the main road (total approx. 4km walk).

After the tour, we will return to our vehicle be escorted to our hotel in Ninh Binh for relaxation.

Day 5: Ninh Binh – Transfer to Halong Bay – Overnight Cruise (B, L, D)

This morning, enjoy breakfast at hotel and check-out then we will head out for a drive to Halong Bay. Our schedule for the day will go as follows:

8:00 – 8:50: Our car will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter area, Opera House, or our office at 16 Thi Sach, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi. (There is an additional charge if booking).
12:00 – 12:30: Check in at Halong International Cruise Port and be greeted with a welcome drink.
13:15: You will enjoy lunch at the onboard restaurant and admire the famous beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay – one of the most beautiful bays in the world voted by the Association of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Club.
15:30: Visit Vung Vieng, a floating fishing village, one of the largest villages in Halong Bay. You will have the opportunity to learn about the life of fishermen and participate in optional activities such as canoeing or kayaking.
17:30 – 18:30: Soak up the beautiful sunset over the bay and join the “Happy Hour”. There is also a cooking class with spring rolls, a specialty of Vietnamese cuisine for you to join.
19:30: Dinner will be served at the restaurant on board the Lily Cruise.
21:00 – 22:00: Experience the nightlife on Bai Tu Long Bay from the deck, and relax with music and drinks at the bar. If you want to participate in a night squid fishing activity, please contact the management for assistance in providing the necessary equipment. Otherwise, more mini games will be prepared for you.

Day 6: Bai Tu Long Bay & Cong Dam Exploration – Overnight Cruise (B, L, D) 

6:00: Start your day energized with a Tai Chi workout and enjoy the sunrise behind the horizon.
6:45 – 7:15: A light breakfast will be served in the onboard restaurant. (Breakfast time is adjustable depending on the actual schedule)
7:30 – 12:00: Transfer to a day boat to explore the pristine area of Cong Dam. Kayaking by yourself  to explore the breathtaking scenery.
12:00: Return to the cruise to enjoy lunch on board for the day. When the cruise departs towards Bai Tu Long – the hidden gem of Ha Long Complex, immerse yourself in the splendor of the  scenery here.
15:00: Head back to Lily Cruise to relax.
17:30 – 19:00: Soak up the beautiful sunset over the bay and join the “Happy Hour”. You also can  join a cooking class with spring rolls, a specialty of Vietnamese cuisine.
19:30: Dinner will be served at the restaurant on board the Lily Cruise.
21:00 – 22:00: Experience the nightlife on Bai Tu Long Bay from the deck, and relax with music  and drinks at the bar. Day 7: Bai Tu Long Bay – Thien Son Canh Cave – Transfer to Hanoi (B, Br)

6:00: Start your day energized with a Tai Chi workout and enjoy the sunrise behind the horizon.
6:45 – 7:15: A light breakfast will be served in the onboard restaurant. (Breakfast time is adjustable depending on the actual schedule)
7:30 – 9:00: Explore Thien Canh Son Cave, located on the top of the mountain, with a long history, geological significance, and natural beauty. We recommend bringing a camera and climbing in sneakers.
9:00 – 9:30: Return to the cruise to relax and check out at the front desk. Please place your luggage outside the door, the cabin crew will help you carry it.
9:45: A light lunch will be served in the restaurant while the boat returns to the harbor.
10:30 – 11:00: Disembark from Lily Cruise and move back to Halong International Cruise Port. Relax and wait to collect your luggage.
11:30 – 12:00: Arrive at Ha Long International Cruise Port, relax inside the pier building. From here, the cruise’s shuttle bus will escort you safely back to your hotel stay in Hanoi for check-in and relaxation.

Day 8: Hanoi – Flight to Danang – Overnight in Hoi An (B)

7:30 – 9:00: Explore Thien Canh Son Cave, located on the top of the mountain, with a long history, geological significance, and natural beauty. We recommend bringing a camera and climbing in sneakers.
9:00 – 9:30: Return to the cruise to relax and check out at the front desk. Please place your luggage outside the door, the cabin crew will help you carry it.
9:45: A light lunch will be served in the restaurant while the boat returns to the harbor.
10:30 – 11:00: Disembark from Lily Cruise and move back to Halong International Cruise Port. Relax and wait to collect your luggage.
11:30 – 12:00: Arrive at Ha Long International Cruise Port, relax inside the pier building. From here, the cruise’s shuttle bus will escort you safely back to your hotel stay in Hanoi for check-in and relaxation.

Day 9: UNESCO World Heritage Discovery to My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient Town (B) 

This morning, time will be free for you do as you wish: strolling to town, lazing by the pool or go  shopping. If you are looking to buy customized silk clothing, there is no better place than Hoi An!

In the afternoon, time will be free for you to do as you wish. At Mulberry Collection Silk Village, you can  also sign up with the receptionist and join a 45-minute tour around their Silk Village complex where you will find sophisticated silk textiles and products for sales and learn the Silkworm Life Cycle. Along this  educational tour, find yourself immerse in the local ancient techniques of silk-making, all from the stage of nourishing the silkworms, then spinning and making silk cocoons to the last stage of drying the silk. Tour is scheduled daily at 9AM and 3PM, Free-of-charge for clients staying at Mulberry Silk Village. 

At 12PM, we will be picked up by our guide and driver then venture out to explore the two UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites.

First, we will visit My Son Sanctuary, known as the Holyland of My Son. We will explore the site by walking through the landscape, hear your guide talk about the local histories and stories of the Champa Kingdom. Get the chance to enjoy Champa’s traditional Aspara Dance performance. The afternoon show starts at 2PM or 3.30PM. The morning show starts at 10AM and 10:45AM. 

Afterwards, return to Hoi An Ancient Town for our afternoon walking tour. We will start our walking tour around the ancient town of Hoi An to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky’s old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An, and the temples, and pagodas of Chinese appearance.

This afternoon, walk through the night market here where you can shop for cheap souvenirs, customized clothing, silk and lanterns. We will also take rowing boats along the Thu Bon River to release paper lanterns onto the water to make wishes as local still do today. Enjoy the sight of hundred lanterns with different shapes, sizes, colors lighting the old town up at night.

Day 10: Transfer to Danang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Today, time will be free for you to do as you wish before your personal driver and guide arrives  to pick you up and take you to the Airport (approx. 1 hour driving) in good time for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City today.

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, be warmly greeted by your local guide and driver then we  will transfer to our hotel for check-in and relaxation.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – A Glimpse of Mekong Delta Tour – Ho Chi Minh City

This morning, be warmly greeted by your driver and guide at your hotel/stay in Ho Chi Minh City then we will go on a drive to Vinh Long province. We will transfer to the new Vinhlong  boat station and proceed to board our boat for a cruise downstream the Mekong River.

Along the way, gets to see many floating cages for farming fish. Then, make stop for a quick  visit to the local Vinh Long market. Stroll through the busy market and take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables… After, we will visit the brick kilns where you can observe locals making beautiful potteries from clay.

Our journey will take us to the local workshops to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy,  pop-rice… Enjoy some sweets by a cup of hot tea then walk to visit the orchard and traditional house of a local host family. A warm local lunch will be served by the friendly hosts. In the afternoon, we can take a bike or a walk along the village paths to see the daily life of people living in the Mekong: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses…

The excursion will end at Vinh Long and your guide will escort you safely back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. We will arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 12: Transfer to Vung Tau – Overnight in Ho Tram (B) 

This morning, time will be free for you to spend at your own leisure. At your check-out time, your personal driver and guide arrives at your hotel and escort you out for a drive to Vung Tau City (approx. 2-2.5 hours driving). On arrival in Vung Tau, we will first visit the spectacular Jesus Statue for a panoramic view of the city and shoreline. Built in 1972, this statue is standing in Nui Nho (Nho Mount) with 32 metres high and 18.3 metres long arms. Take nearly 900 steps to the top; we will enjoy a breathtaking view of Vung Tau City.

Afterwards, we proceed our journey to Ho Tram – one of the most popular beach destinations in the South of Vietnam. Stretching 10 km with fine sand and calm waters, Ho Tram beach is where visitors can freely swim, stroll and take beautiful photos. At around 16:00, we reach InterContinental Grand Ho Tram and check-in to our hotel rooms for rest and relaxation.
